The AidAccount team holds a mid-way workshop at a time when all/most data has been collected and the process of analysing the data was ongoing. Simultaneously, the ‘humanitarian lab’ is being implemented in 2023. The aim of the workshop is to come together to discuss the analysis process and present draft papers/paper ideas, as well as discuss the implementation of the humanitarian lab in each case country. The team also benefits from a Photovoice workshop facilitated by Danesh Jayatilaka and Mohideen Alikhan

Members of the AidAccount Sri Lanka case study team conducted a field visit in Sri Lanka following the project workshop and writing retreat. They visited Puttlam as part of the research on the displaced, integrated and resettled Northern Muslims in Sri Lanka. The day fieldvisit included a group discussion with aid receivers and aid providers at the Muslim Women’s Development Trust (MWDT), a visit to the Young Muslim Men’s Association (YMMA), supported housing in the Rathmalyaya village (IDP Camp), a visit to the Madurankuly Model Village constructed by a donor from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and a viewing of Mosques and NGO and CBO housing and livelihoods and essential services projects.
